Xiaomi Mi 11 Smartphone with Snapdragon 888 and 50W Wireless Charging

Xiaomi held a presentation of its new flagship Xiaomi Mi 11 model a little earlier than the traditional dates. The announcement of Xiaomi Mi 11 smartphone was made approximately 1.5 months earlier and took place without showing the Pro version, which is expected later.

The new Xiaomi flagship is equipped with a 2K AMOLED display with a 120 Hz refresh rate, 480 Hz reading rate, and a 6.81 inch diagonal. The screen supports HDR10+, has a pixel density of 515 ppi, and is protected by heavy-duty Gorilla Glass Victus, capable of withstanding a fall from up to 2 meters. The screen has a thin frame, noticeable curvatures on the sides, as well as a hole in the upper left corner of the screen for a selfie camera with a 20-megapixel sensor (f/2.4.).

The hardware of the smartphone is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 processor, released using a 5nm process technology. The Xiaomi Mi 11 smartphone becomes the world’s first smartphone to use the flagship Qualcomm chip in a serial device, equipped with a high-performance Cortex-X1 core with a frequency of 2.84 GHz and an integrated 5G module providing data transfer at 7.5 Gbps. The smartphones will have 8 or 12 GB of LPDDR5 RAM and 128 or 256 GB of permanent UFS 3.1 memory.

The top model Xiaomi Mi 11 is equipped with a triple main camera. The main camera is capable of recording HDR 10+ videos in 8K resolution.

Autonomous operation is provided by a 4600 mAh battery that supports 55W fast charging over the wire, 50W wireless charging, and 10W reversible charging.

Security is ensured by a fingerprint sensor built into the display.

Xiaomi Mi 11 smartphone runs on Android 11 with the MIUI 12.5 proprietary shell. The overall dimensions of the device are 164.3×74.6×8.06 mm in a glass case and 164.3×74.6×8.56 mm in a special case trimmed with leather.

Xiaomi Mi 11 smartphones are going on sale in China from January 1, 2021. The Xiaomi Mi 11 modification with 8/128 GB will be priced at $612, the 8/256 GB model will cost $658, and the 12/256 GB smartphone – $720. The global version of Mi 11 will hit the market as early as next year.
