The season of summer vacations is about to start, so the developers of the Sublue startup have presented on the Kickstarter crowdfunding platform an original and the most compact underwater scooter in the world, WhiteShark MixPro. The invention enables exploring the deep sea during an hour of autonomous swimming.
The underwater traveler, WhiteShark MixPro, will be able to reach the speeds of up to 6.43 kilometers per hour (1.78 m/s). Its battery supports the fast charging technology, which allows you to completely restore the energy of a lithium-ion battery within 2 hours. In addition, the new device provides a sealed box for attaching a smartphone, and there is a connector for an action camera.
The scooter is driven by two engines, rotating the blades, which are protected by special nets from injuring the owner and from the ingress of various objects and the sea world inhabitants into the working area.
The weight of WhiteShark MixPro (with the battery) is only 3.55 kg, and the dimensions are 465x23x23 mm. Diving to the depth of 40 meters is available. The pre-ordered price of the underwater scooter at Kickstarter is only $399, and shipments will begin in June. However, in retail chains, the device will cost as much as $700.
The project organizers have already raised almost 65 thousand dollars three weeks before the completion of the fundraising process. The production initially required 10 thousand dollars to be started.
