Google Meet Becomes Free During the Pandemic

Self-isolation during the coronavirus epidemic forced many companies to reconsider their marketing plans. The rapidly increasing popularity of Zoom forced Google to cancel their Google Meet fee. This video conferencing service will be available free of charge for all users with a Gmail account starting from May.

Until now, Google Meet has been available to the owners of G Suite and G Suite for Education accounts (businesses, organizations, and educational institutions). Now the corporation grants free access to all users. To register for the service, you must have a Gmail inbox.

It should be noted that, regardless of the fee, the number of daily Google Meet conferences has increased by 30, and the number of participants has grown to 100 million users a day.

From now on, all members of the Google community will be able to take advantage of the free 60-minute conference. At the same time, the company announced that the time limit would not be introduced until September 30.

Video conferencing can be attended by up to 100 users who have access to the screen. There is an option of real-time editing. The user will also be able to tailor window layouts according to their individual preferences.

Google promises to keep your personal information confidential and not share it with third parties. You can familiarize yourself with the requirements when registering for Google Meet on the official website of the corporation.

For mobile devices, you can use the applications from the Apple App Store and Google Play Store.
