Devices like electric scooters or hoverboards are very useful when you need to quickly get somewhere nearby and using a taxi or your own car is inconvenient. Pint came up with an even simpler thing – a board with one wheel. To make it move, you just need to stand with your feet on both its ends.
Gyroscooters of this kind have already appeared on the market, but they are much heavier and larger. Pint’s Onewheel is a compact invention about 70 centimeters long. The skills of riding such gadgets are not required since the novelty will help the user to keep balance. To accelerate and change direction, one just needs to slightly tilt the board in the desired direction.
There is one nuance. Compactness has deprived the device of speed and autonomy. The wheel can cover no more than 12 kilometers on one charge, developing a speed of around 25 kilometers per hour. This should be enough to get from subway to work or from home to the store. You can carry the novelty with a special handle. The front and back of the board are equipped with signal LED-lights.
Convenience and compactness will cost $950 or $1,799 for a more “upgraded” model.
