China’s Sublue startup continues to develop a range of scooters for underwater swimming. The company successfully presented the WhiteShark Mix scooter two years ago, which became famous for its small size and high functionality. The startup engineers have improved the model and announced the Mix Pro model, which has advanced technical characteristics.
The kinematic scheme and the principle of operation of the scooter remained the same. The device is driven by two protected propellers connected to an electric motor. One hour of autonomous swimming is provided by a lithium-ion battery. Full battery charge from zero to one hundred percent will take about 2 hours. The swimmer will be able to control the battery level using the indicator on the Mix Pro screen.
The maximum diving depth of the device is 40 meters. The speed of swimming under water is limited to 6.4 kilometers per hour, but economical operation is also provided in which the speed reaches only 3.8 kilometers per hour.
A mount for the GoPro camera was provided in the previous WhiteShark Mix model. Now, the developers have expanded the opportunities for amateurs of underwater shooting. That’s why they have created a hermetic camera for smartphones of any models.
A removable buoyancy block is provided for beginners. It does not allow the device to dive to more than 5 meters. The weight of the entire Mix Pro device is only 2 kg. It is 1.5 times less than the base model of WhiteShark Mix. The price will be announced at the CES 2020 events.
