The Insta360 brand presented an original device – the One R action camera – to the fans of extreme shooting at the CES 2020 exhibition. One of the main advantages of this camera is a modular design that allows you to replace lenses very quickly, ensuring comfortable work in various situations.
Insta360 One R construction consists of three separate blocks: the main module with a monitor, a battery and a removable lens. The user gets the opportunity to quickly replace the lens using one of the variants provided by the company. The following modules can be used in various scenarios as interchangeable lenses for Insta360 One R: a lens for panoramic 360-degree shooting with the f/2.0 aperture, a lens for wide-angle shooting of dynamic clips in 4K resolution with f/2.8 aperture, and a lens for shooting wide-angle video in 5.3K resolution or 19 megapixel photos (f/3.2). Leica company participated in the development of the 5.3K wide-angle lens.
Depending on the used lenses, two types of codecs are used: H.264 and H.265, and the highest bit rate reaches 100 Mbps. Insta360 One R uses a special FlowState 2.0 technology for image stabilization. The AI technology is used In the correction of color spectrum, HDR control and the shooting process.
The price of the Insta360 One R modular camera depends on the lenses equipment. The variant with the wide-angle 4K lens will cost $288. The camera equipped with a module designed for 360-degree shooting is estimated at $460, and the cameras capable of shooting 5.3K video will be sold at $504.
