Vertical Take-off & Landing Jetman the Return

In recent years, the desire of a person to fly using individual devices has been very successfully implemented by Swiss inventor Yves Rossy, who is creating a jetpack with a power plant that provides for the user’s flight and maneuverability. The main problem for the previous Rossi vehicles was the moment of launch and landing with a jetpack. The new invention of the wing with vertical take-off and landing eliminate the problem and expand the capabilities of the devices.

Previously, to start the flight, the user of the jetpack had to jump out of an airplane or a helicopter, that is, was taken out into the open air with an aircraft. For landing, a parachute was required, which was opened, when needed to land. The rest of the time, the jetpack user had the freedom to maneuver.

With the advent of a new device – a four-jet mono-wing pack, all landing and take-off problems were solved. The inventor himself demonstrated the capabilities of the device equipped with Jetcat P550 jet engines, which are placed in pairs to the right and left of the user. The created thrust allows a person to take off vertically at a speed of 180 km/h. The wing is equipped with an automatic balancing system, which allows the hands of the tester to be free.

The control system of the new device is integrated into the gloves, which provides comfort during the flight and additional opportunities for the “pilot”.
