A new TV set with a resolution of 4K sounded like stunning news for everyone quite recently. No sooner had we got used to it that Sharp offered a new revolutionary development called Aquos 8K! The diagonal of the model reaches seventy inches. The resolution of 8K (7680 x 4320 pixels) is sixteen times higher than the parameters of the usual TV-sets with the Full HD option (1920 x 1080 pixels). As they say in Sharp, this reality is boundless, and it is simply unreal to see its details with the naked eye.
It is worth noting that at some point the presence of additional pixels on the screen does not matter anymore. At a distance, they are already impossible to notice. 8K resolution is relevant for the monitor because it can be watched from a much shorter distance.
The new TV has a viewing angle of 176 degrees vertically and horizontally. Advanced AQUOS technologies include:
• Mega Contrast to dynamically increase contrast;
• Rich Color Technology Pro in order to transmit colors in an especially qualitative way.
There is a problem with the lack of any content for the 8K-HDR. However, it is being resolved gradually. NHK, a public television company in Japan, offers regular satellite broadcasts with a 8K-resolution. The Sharp company is planning to expand its product line in the 8K format. They plan to create an ecosystem that includes: receivers, cameras, processors, and camcorders.
Sharp also plans to remodel a 70-inch 8K TV compatible with BDA-HDR and Dolby Vision HDR into a similar monitor – especially for Europe. The model will be called LV-70X500E and will go on sale in March. The manufacturer has not yet mentioned the price, but experts suggest that it will start at $9,000. Not so long ago, the company released an 85-inch 8K-monitor in Japan, and its cost exceeded ten thousand dollars. According to experts, the novelty will be released this year in China and Japan, and in February 2018 – in Taiwan.
