One of the most successful Apple insiders and analysts, Ross Young, has slightly revised his announcement about the time when the updated iMac with a large 27-inch mini LED display will appear on market. According to the expert, the updated Mini-LED iMac will enter the market early next year.
In a tweet, the insider first apologized for the confusion caused by his announcement of the launch date for Apple’s 27-inch external monitor, which uses adaptive frequency and mini LED technology. Young said that no monitor would be presented in the first quarter of 2022. Instead, there will appear an updated iMac with a mini LED display, a diagonal of 27 inches, and a screen refresh rate of 24 to 120 Hz.
This message about the expected update of the iMac lineup at the beginning of next year is interesting for another reason too. Less than a year ago, in April, Apple introduced new iMac computers with fairly large changes – a Retina Display screen with an increased diagonal from 21 to 24 inches and a resolution of 4.5K (4480×2520). At the same time, iMac started working on the M1 processors.
The insider, however, did not say whether the Apple M1 Pro and M1 Max branded processors presented the other day would be installed in the new iMacs. Previously, many of the predictions of the analyst, working at Display Supply Chain Consultants, have been surprisingly accurate. There are hopes that the updated iMac will be released to the market in January-March 2022.
