Redmi Note 8 Pro Smartphone Has a Liquid Cooling System

Numerous rumors, leaks and insider statements about Redmi’s new smartphone are over. The developers officially unveiled the flagship smartphone, Redmi Note 8 Pro, equipped with the world’s most powerful 64-megapixel sensor, a high-performance processor and fast charging technology.

The Redmi Note 8 Pro smartphone has a glass case and a rounded back panel, IP52 water protection standard, an IPS screen (2340×1080) with a diagonal of 6.53 inches protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 5. The frames around the perimeter of the display are thin, reaching 2 mm at the bottom. The front camera with a resolution of 20 megapixels has a traditional drop-shape cutout.

The smartphone is supported by an 8-core MediaTek Helio G90T processor (2×2.05 GHz + 6×2.0 GHz), equipped with a liquid cooling system, and Mali-G76 3EEMC4 graphic processor. Depending on the model, the smartphone comes with 64 or 128 GB of internal memory, which can be expanded with microSD by up to 128 GB. There is also 6GB or 8GB RAM. One of the advantages of the Redmi Note 8 Pro is its NFC module, which enables contactless payments.

The main camera is equipped with 4 sensors, among which the major one is Samsung ISOCELL GW1 (f/1.8) with a resolution of 64 megapixels. An 8MP wide-angle sensor (120° viewing angle), a 2MP (f/2.4) macro lens and a 2MP depth sensor. Frame rate at slow motion is 960 fps. As mentioned, the front camera has a resolution of 20 megapixels.

The Redmi Note 8 Pro smartphone is powered by a 4,500 mAh battery supporting the 18W Quick Charge 4.0+ fast charging technology. Full battery charging takes 113 minutes, and 36 minutes up to half the capacity.

Connection is provided by Dual 4G VoLTE, WiFi 802.11 ac (2.4 GHz + 5 GHz), Bluetooth 5, GPS, GLONASS, NFC. At the same time, the Redmi Note 8 Pro is TUV Rheinland certified, which guarantees stable communication even in areas with weak network signal.

The geometric parameters of the smartphone are 161.3 x 76.4 x 8.79 mm, and it weighs 199.8 grams. The devices will be available in three colors: white, green and gray. The sales in China will start September 3. The minimum price for the Redmi Note 8 Pro with 6GB of RAM and 64GB internal memory will be $195. For the model with 6/128 GB modification, the price will be $223 and for the complete set 8/128 GB – $251.
