The Uber company has released a video presentation of the Elevate driverless air taxi. Its representatives are sure that this air transport service will be able to start full-fledged work by 2020. The systems of logistics and drone management have been created together with NASA specialists, but the name of the manufacturer of these air machines on electric traction remains unknown.
The project starts in Los Angeles. According to experts, a trip from one city suburb to another one will take only half an hour and will cost only $20. Due to such convenience and low cost, they predict that most local residents will abandon their own cars in favor of Uber Elevate air taxi. Aeronautic drones will land on specialized sites, created on the roofs of high-rise buildings.
