In the near future, another new product from the European manufacturers will enter the electric car market, expanding the range of cars operating on electricity.
The French automobile concern announced plans to hold the official presentation of the new model of the Citroën C4 series on June 30. This model is positioned by the manufacturer as a compact cross-hatchback. The company plans include the release of a new model range with three powerplant options: with a diesel engine, gasoline engine and electric motor. The Citroën C4 electric model will receive the ë-C4 identification.
Cars from the new Citroën C4 lineup will combine the aerodynamic silhouette of a hatchback with a highly raised crossover body, which will contribute to their high popularity.
The new models will use advanced engineering developments under the Citroën Advanced Comfort program, providing increased comfort during car operation. For this purpose, the Progressive Hydraulic Cushions suspension and Advanced Comfort seats will be installed on the Citroën C4, and additional options will be introduced to expand the driver’s capabilities when driving a car.
It is currently known that the Citroën lineup will be based on the PSA CMP proprietary platform used in Peugeot 208/2008 and Opel Corsa/Mokka vehicles. In this regard, experts suggest that the electric version of the Citroën ë-C4 will be equipped with an electric motor with a capacity of 100 kW (136 hp) with a torque of 260 Nm and a 50 kWh battery, which will allow you to make autonomous trips on a single battery charge within the range of 310- 340 km on the WLTP cycle.
The new Citroën ë-C4 electric car will become the company’s fifth all-electric car after the C5 Aircross SUV Hybrid, Ami, S-Jumpy and S-SpaceTourer.
