Mercedes-Benz F 300 Life-Jet 3-Wheel-Car

A three-wheel Mercedes-Benz car, which weighs no more than an adult male, was able to catch up with some of the best sports cars. The designers succeeded in achieving this result after many years of painstaking work. They called this conceptual model Life-Jet.

Three-wheel cars are left mainly for enthusiasts. Now we are talking about real “three-wheelers”, designed for one or two people. At the same time, due to the specifics of the design, such cars are often marked by maneuverability and speed. The conceptual Mercedes-Benz F 300 three-wheeler, which was created several years ago, was no exception in this respect. In 2017, the concept underwent many technical changes, which allowed to set a couple of new records in its class and demonstrate the perspectives of three-wheelers as an individual vehicle.

Mercedes-Benz F 300 Life-Jet is powered by a 1.6-liter 106 hp engine. This rocket for roads accelerates to 100 km/h in less than 7.7 seconds, and its maximum speed is 211 km/h. This result is comparable with the results of the best sports cars and roadsters. At the same time, Life-Jet demonstrates much better fuel efficiency due to its design features. Travelling for 100 km, the car will need 5.3 liters.

The road rocket weighs only 89 kilograms. It became possible thanks to the design features and the use of light materials, including aluminum. Transparent heavy-duty plastic is also widely used in the construction. A closed salon makes Life-Jet a universal all-weather vehicle. The three-wheeler is also equipped with an electronic control system, which helps maintain high speed even in slow corners.
