There seems to be no area where Xiaomi will not dare to step into. An ultra-lightweight, waterproof and wind-resistant jacket is presented on the Mi crowdfunding platform and is estimated at $79. Of course, it is not super “smart”, but still different from a usual jacket.
Xiaomi cooperated with the popular Chinese brand, 90 Minutes, to create the jacket. The jacket is perfect for travelling because of its light weight and numerous uses. It protects against rain, cold winds and comes with a zipper headphone hook to prevent tangling. The outer covering of the jacket is made of Teflon DuPont fabric, with new Teflon EcoElite treatment. It additionally warms the neck and the lower back, using a 10,000 mAh battery. The sensor under the right front pocket will tell you when the jacket needs to be recharged. The manufacturer claims that the jacket has gone through many safety tests, but, for particularly cautious customers, there is additional protection against short circuit.
The jacket comes in different shapes and sizes for men and women. For men, the jacket is available in black, bright gray, navy blue and military-green. For women, it comes in black, gray and pink. While the novelty is available only for pre-order, Xiaomi will start sending it from October 18.
