The realities of the modern world and the second year of the quarantine caused by the pandemic gave rise to many original solutions for protective masks – an indispensable attribute of a modern person. Today, a high-tech futuristic mask is entering the market, created jointly by Will.i.am and SpaceX spacesuit designer Jose Fernandez. The technology and production of masks were developed and implemented in the Honeywall company.
Unlike the hi-tech mask from Razer, which has been advertised for several months but not yet been released, Honeywall products will be available in the US, Canada, and Europe on April 8 for $299. The futuristic Xupermask will be available in white and black.
In addition to its unusual design, the mask is full of advanced technologies necessary to fulfill its main function – to protect against the COVID-19 virus. First of all, it is Honeywall’s patented replaceable HEPA filtration system with the two fans operating at three speeds.
The built-in microphone and active noise-canceling headphones using Bluetooth 5.0 wireless technology will help ensure comfort while communicating with the Xupermask. Its own battery will allow the communication system to work for 7 hours in an autonomous mode. Charging is done via the USB-C port. In addition to the charging cable, the kit will be supplied with an extra cloth mask.
LED illumination will be another feature of the Xupermask, just like the future mask from Razer. This illumination performs aesthetic functions, but at the same time, it helps people navigate in the dark.
