Self-Deploying House by Ten Fold Engineering

The British Ten Fold Engineering team has presented self-deploying modules, which can be assembled into a ready-made house within a few minutes and without the involvement of builders and special equipment. Only a prototype of such housing has been made so far, but the project is going into production in the near future. The cost of this property will be $130,000.

The package includes a block. It will be brought to any place on an ordinary truck. On site, the building object will be unfolded, and you will be able to celebrate a housewarming party. You won’t even have to worry about internal communication systems: they just need to be connected to a common network. The simplest version provides 64 m² of living space, whereas the folded block occupies 20 m³.

Optionally, you can get autonomous power supply and water treatment systems. They will have to be paid for, but in the future such an extra service will help you save much money on utility payments, and you will enjoy a complete freedom of action. In addition, the owner of a dwelling, office, a working unit or a mobile office can always move to a new place together with his “accommodation.”
