With a wide variety of monitors available, Dell is once again expanding its portfolio to launch a compact ultra-thin 14″ display for laptop users called Dell Portable Monitor C1422H. The thickness of the novelty (at its thinnest point) is only 4.95 mm, which is less than that of iPad Air. The display weighs 590 grams. Retail sales of the compact, portable display under the C1422H brand will begin on August 31st for $350.
The portable display C1422H has a special base stand that allows you to change the operating position of the IPS screen from 10 to 90 degrees. The resolution of the monitor is 1920X1080 (Full HD), the brightness is 300 nits, the refresh rate is 60 Hz and the response time is 6 ms. The ultra-thin bezel design is reminiscent of the Dell XPS laptop.
Two USB-C connectors are provided for connecting to a laptop or computer and for obtaining power: one on each side of the Dell C1422H base. The video signal is transmitted in DisplayPort 1.2 alt mode, and to get started, you only need to connect the monitor via the supplied USB-C cable. In this case, the C1422H will receive power from the connected laptop or computer. When you connect the AC adapter to recharge the display, you can supply power to the laptop linked to the second USB-C connector in the PassThrough Charging mode.
