Vertu, the manufacturer of luxury mobile phones, has officially introduced another device, designed for the people with a good income. Unlike many other luxury gadgets developed by the British company, Vertu Aster model has a powerful “filling” typical of modern flagship smartphones.
A quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 processor with a clock frequency of 2.3 GHz is the heart of Vertu Aster. The performance of the chip is complemented by 2 GB of RAM and 64 GB of integrated flash memory, as well as the rich set of wireless communications, including Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth 4.0+LE, NFC and LTE Cat. 4 (up to 150 Mbit/s).
4.7-inch screen supports the resolution of 1920×1080 pixels (473 ppi). The display is covered with sapphire glass (118 carats). The manufacturer has chosen a 13-megapixel sensor with LED-flash for the main camera, whereas the front camera is marked by 2.1 megapixels.
The phone can operate without recharging for up to 15.5 hours of talk time and 16 days of standby time – all thanks to the battery capacity of 2275 mA/h, which can be charged wirelessly.
The product dimensions are 143.4×69×11.2 mm, while its weight is 193 grams. The software base of the new product is OS Android 4.4 KitKat. There is also the Dolby Digital Plus sound system.
The Vertu Aster cost ranges from $6,900 to $9,700 depending on the chosen style of the smartphone. The latter, by the way, is marked by the use of leather and titanium alloy with the special PVD coating.
