Insta360 introduces the new Insta360 GO 2 action camera, which has a number of advantages over the previous model and, according to the manufacturers, will become one of the most compact cameras in its class. The new ultra-light action camera comes in a versatile case that can also be used as a charger.
The size of the camera itself is 52.9×23.6×20.7 mm and it weighs only 26.5 grams. The camera can be stored in a case (63.5 g), in which the battery is recharged, just like with wireless headphones. The camera has a single control button to start and stop shooting. The charging case can also be used as a tripod and already has two buttons (changing the camera mode) and a miniature display.
The Insta360 GO 2 camera receives IPX8 water protection and can go underwater to the depth of four meters. Scratch-resistant tempered glass protects the lens.
The updated Insta360 camera features a 1/2.3-inch image sensor capable of recording videos at 2560×1440 and taking photos at 9 megapixels. Ultra wide-angle lens up to 120 degrees has 4 modes of limiting the field of view.
It supports slow-motion video mode (1920×1080 at 120 frames per second), HDR function, and when working in the professional mode, FlowState stabilization is activated. For data storage, an internal 32 GB drive with a maximum of 28 GB available memory is used.
The intelligent mode is also used in the camera, and a special filter is applied to improve the quality of shooting underwater. Based on the previously captured material, artificial intelligence analyzes objects and creates a shooting history.
Using the Insta360 GO 2 camera is greatly facilitated by the availability of a variety of mounts, including magnetic ones. The camera can be mounted on clothes, on a surface or on the body of animals. A set of interchangeable lenses and a polarizing filter significantly expand the capabilities of the device.
Its own battery provides autonomous operation in the video mode up to 30 minutes and in the professional mode – up to 20 minutes. Recharging from the case will increase this time to 150 and 110 minutes. Recharging the camera takes only 35 minutes, and the case itself charges for 65 minutes.
