The range of Google’s high-tech products has been replenished with another device designed and created by the engineers of the corporation. Along with smartphones, laptops, and smart speakers, the company will now offer dLight smart table lamps, which are currently offered only to Google employees.
The elegant design of the dLight Google smart lamp is made in a minimalist style. The compact round base and thin T-shaped leg are made in dazzling white. The tablet-shaped lighting element is able to rotate at least 90 degrees to direct the light onto the user or onto the table surface.
The design of the dLight Google lamp is optimized for video calls. The lamp can be controlled using Google Assistant commands. The device will appear in the Google Home app in the lighting section.
The dLight lamp model operates on a voltage of 24 V, with a rated power of 14 W. The device has a “Hey Google” assistant logo on the label and a QR code, possibly to make the setup easier.
The smart lamp was created for Google employees and is sold exclusively in the company’s internal online store. However, the original dLight device may be sold by Google employees on external public marketplaces in the near future.
