The US startup Lukos presented an original ultra-wide IPS monitor with a diagonal of 14 inches, a resolution of 3840×1100 and an unusual aspect ratio of 32:9 on the Kickstarter crowdfunding platform. A wide range of connectors can help connect up to 4 devices for image transmission to the monitor.
The Lukos monitor uses an IPS panel with a response time of 2ms and a refresh rate of 60Hz. The 4K screen provides the sharpest image, high color contrast, higher color accuracy and high image uniformity. The display supports 100% sRGB color space coverage and has a maximum brightness of 300 nits. The sound is broadcast through a pair of portable speakers.
Another advantage of Lukos monitors is the ability to split the screen into four areas for working with four windows from four independent sources. Such multitasking will increase the efficiency of using monitors. For social networking, the monitor can be rotated to a portrait vertical mode.
There is also a universal stand to adjust the angle of the monitor in the basic horizontal mode. Lukos can also be used as a calendar, a clock or a digital photo frame. The monitor can be controlled with a remote control.
4 devices can be connected to the Lukos monitor at the same time. To do this, you can use the following connectors: three HDMI (two 2.0 and one 1.4), two DP 1.4, a DP 1.2 and a USB Type-C connector. The unusual display is priced at $419 supported by a Kickstarter project where enthusiasts have already raised nearly $190,000.
