Yamaha decided to impress the visitors of Tokyo Motor Show 2015 and unveiled its new development – a humanoid motorcycle racing robot called Motobot. This humanoid electromechanical creation easily copes with controlling accelerator, the transmission lever, and the brakes.
At the moment, the robot drives a special bike with extra safety wheels, like on children’s bicycles, and reaches the top speed of a little more than 100 km/h on the track.
With time, when the work on the project is completed, Motobot will easily cope with any sports bike on a real track, and it will not be a problem for it to accelerate to more than 200 km/h.
