The novelty weighs 1.64 kg, just like a tablet, or 2.1 kg when working in the “notebook” mode. The rigid case is made of a lithium-magnesium alloy, and its protection complies with the military standard MIL-STD 810G, which allows to insert ZBook x2 in water to the depth of 10 meters and keep it there for half an hour. Shaking, hitting or sand will not cause any damage to the product. The overall dimensions of the tablet are 366 x 229 x 15 mm.
The tablet is equipped with a convenient and massive folding stand, which provides stability during operation. The backlit keyboard is wireless and contains a built-in Smart Card reader. The optional delivery includes a digital corporate stylus, made according to the Wacom EMR technology, which recognizes 4,096 degrees of pressing and the tilt angle and an eraser on the reverse side.
The 14-inch touchscreen IPS display has a 4K Ultra HD resolution (3840 x 2160 pixels) with 100% coverage of Adobe RGB color space and a special anti-reflective coating that provides comfortable operation in all lighting conditions. HDR is supported. The technical parameters of the ZBook x2 graphic station vary depending on the configuration. The most productive model is equipped with an Intel Core i7-8560U processor of the 8th generation with a clock speed of 4.2 GHz, a discrete Nvidia Quadro M620 graphics card, 32 GB RAM and a 2 TB (PCIe) SSD.
For the basic configuration, HP chose Intel Core i7-7500U chipset of the 7th generation, Intel HD Graphics 620 graphics, and 128GB SSD memory. According to the manufacturer, the processing of graphics data is faster by 73% than in the rivalling Microsoft Surface Pro model. The display has 18 keys on the side panel for faster access to frequently used applications.
USB Type-C ports with Thunderbolt 3 allow the tablet to be connected to two more 4K-monitors. The battery will work autonomously for 10 hours. The fast charge technology is supported: charging by 50% in half an hour.
Among other things, HP ZBook x2 has 2 Thunderbolt 3 connectors, one USB 3.0, one HDMI 1.4 port, an SD card slot, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and GPS. There is a built-in 8 megapixel web camera with the resolution of 720p. The operating system is Windows 10.
The sale of ZBook x2 will begin in December, and the initial price of the device is $1,749.
