Intel Comes up with a Laptop with 2 Screens

Competition in the market of computer equipment makes the companies constantly improve their products to be demanded, arouse interest and constantly surprise the customers. These are the laws of the market, and its participants are forced to pay attention to them. Intel showed a prototype of the Honeycomb Glacier gaming laptop, which is quite unusual due to having two screens. This is not the first attempt by the manufacturers to demonstrate similar solutions. However, Intel has surpassed its rivals by finding an original solution for the new product.

Thanks to a special mechanism, the laptop is transformed, the main screen rising to the level of the user’s eyes. The second widescreen display is intended for the gamer’s comfort and is also raised at a certain angle.

The size of the main Full HD display of the device is 15.6 inches, whereas the diagonal of the second screen is 12.3 inches. The resolution is 1920×720 pixels. An additional Honeycomb Glacier screen can be used by gamers for displaying a game card, displaying health/equipment indicators or chatting from a stream/messenger. Another innovation is that Tobii cameras are installed in the gadget, allowing you to control the system with a glance. Similar cameras work in many games. A hinge design is needed not only to raise the screens but also to provide additional ventilation of the system since the laptop runs on an 8-core Intel processor and has an NVIDIA GTX 1060 video card with an overclocking option.

Intel’s novelty is a prototype, so much more needs to be done before it becomes a full-fledged product. Even the screen was borrowed from car manufacturers, as no one in the computer industry has yet released such screens for laptops.
