A campaign was launched on the Kickstarter crowdfunding platform to raise funds for a project aimed at producing a compact folding e-guitar Mogabi, equipped with its own speaker, a built-in Bluetooth module, internal memory, and a headphone jack.
The weight of the Mogabi smart guitar model is 2.7 kg. When unfolded, the device has the dimensions of 1065x320x45 mm, and when folded – 703x84x88 mm. The guitar is adapted for individual play, allowing you to rehearse without disturbing others. To do this, the gadget provides the ability to connect headphones. Built-in full-range 40 mm speakers with a passive bass radiator will allow broadcasting music without the use of additional acoustics.
The movement of the strings is controlled by a piezo pickup, and the use of a reverberation effect is provided. The guitar is equipped with a built-in recording function with 32 GB of permanent memory for storing up to 300 songs. Using applications on a smartphone or laptop, you can edit the records by means of a USB connector.
The USB module will allow you to play along with the soundtrack transmitted from your smartphone. The microphone jack (3.5 mm) provides an opportunity to delight others not only with playing the guitar, but also with the author’s song. Autonomous work lasting up to 6 hours is provided by its own battery with a capacity of 2600 mAh.
The project provides for several modifications of the Mogabi smart guitar, including those with nylon or steel strings. However, the design of the guitar in all models includes two components: a 20-fret mahogany neck with a rosewood fretboard and a pickup area with an audio block. The Mogabi base model costs $600. After the successful completion of the Kickstarter fundraising project, the first guitars will be shipped to investors in June this year.
