Huawei Comes up with Smart Eyewear, Smartwatches & Wireless Earbuds

Experts call elegant “smart” glasses X Gentle Monster EyeWear the most original accessory provided by Huawei. In addition, the manufacturer came up with wireless headphones FreeLace and an updated line of Watch GT smartwatches.

Smart glasses can be a very promising alternative to a wireless headset. The gadget has speakers, 2 microphones, a Bluetooth module, and a battery. The speakers are placed so that the user can hear the sounds around, and the surrounding people do not hear any sound from the headphones. The microphone system can determine the direction of the voice during a conversation and cut off extraneous noises.

According to the manufacturer, glasses will allow users to talk on the phone and listen to music without covering their ears. Apparently, the dynamics operating through bone conduction have been applied. By clicking on their bow (there are no buttons on Huawei X Gentle Monster EyeWear), you can pause the music or accept an incoming call. The 2,000 mAh battery is charged wirelessly or via USB Type-C in a special case. EyeWear was created in conjunction with the Korean Gentle Monster brand. There are different types of design, transparent glasses or sunglasses. Water and dust protection corresponds to the IP67 status. The sales of the new item will start in July, though nothing is known about the cost of the gadget.

The line of smartwatches was supplemented with a model of the classic look GT Elegant and a sports model Watch GT Active. The display of the first model is offered only in the 42 mm version. One full charge of the device will last for a week of performance (in the previous version, the autonomy time reached 2 weeks). The bulk of the product is made of ceramics. Fresh firmware with new dials has appeared. In GT Active watch, one charge is enough to work for 2 weeks in case of 1.5 hours of workouts per week and heartbeat monitoring. The watch strap is practical and made of resistant elastic materials. The watch is designed like that of the previous version of the smartwatch: a 46-mm case with a 1.39-inch OLED screen. The cost of GT Elegant will be 229 euros, and GT Active will cost 249 euros.

Wireless FreeLace headphones are another new product from Huawei. Their main feature is the possibility of detaching one part. At the same time, a USB Type-C cable appears, which is connected to the smartphone for recharging. The gadget connects to the main device via Bluetooth. On one charge, you can listen to 18 hours of music. The product is appearing on the market in April and will cost 99 euros.
