HONOR, a brand owned by the Chinese company Huawei, launches the world’s first full-screen fitness tracker. Small frames around the screen, a relatively large screen and advanced functionality allow developers to claim that the HONOR Band 6 is a transition model from smartwatches to fitness bracelets, it can be considered as a mini version of the recently released HONOR Watch ES.
The novelty gets a 1.47-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 194×368 pixels and 2.5D glass. Like in smartphones, control is carried out using gestures. To activate the display, there is a physical button on the right side of the bracelet.
Autonomous operation of the HONOR Band 6 is provided by a 180 mAh battery, which is recharged using magnetic charging. According to the manufacturer, the battery life can be up to 14 days. The body of the fitness bracelet is waterproof up to 5 ATM.
HONOR Band 6 supports up to 10 sports modes, blood oxygen monitoring, 24-hour HUAWEI TruSeen 4.0 heart rate monitoring, HUAWEI TruSleep sleep monitoring, and menstrual cycle monitoring. The manufacturer announced the launch of two fitness bracelet modifications to the market: with an NFC module, which allows contactless payments and without the NFC.
The device weighs only 18 grams without a strap. The overall dimensions of the case are 43×25.4×11.45 mm. Unlike the always black case, the strap is available in three colors: black, gray and coral.
HONOR Band 6 will be available for pre-order in China from November 4, and the bracelets will go on sale from November 11. The price of HONOR Band 6 without NFC will be $37, and $43 in the modification with NFC.
