As part of the new Redmi sub-brand, Xiaomi presented not only their budget smartphone Redmi 7 for $105, but also the new Redmi AirDots wireless earbuds. This headset is very similar to the Mi AirDots model released last year by the manufacturer. However, the novelty is twice cheaper.
Redmi AirDots work on a Realtek 8763 chip, have 7.2 mm emitters and the DSP intelligent noise reduction system, as well as the technology that transmits sound via Bluetooth 5.0. The earbuds weigh only 4.1 grams each. They are convenient for long-term use. They are combined with a smartphone when taken out of the case. By the way, the case with a 300 mAh battery allows you to charge them up to 3 times. In total, autonomous work is ensured for 12 hours.
It is curious that Mi AirDots has touch control buttons, while Redmi AirDots have physical and multifunctional buttons. By clicking on them once or twice, you can switch tracks or launch personal assistant Xiao AI, respectively. If you put the earbuds back into the supplied case, they will turn off automatically. In addition, there is an energy saving system that turns off Redmi AirDots when there is no connection with the smartphone for more than 5 minutes.
The novelty will be sold in China starting from April 9 for about $15 at the current exchange rate. The Redmi AirDots kit includes a case, a pair of black in-channel type earbuds and interchangeable silicone caps of several sizes.
