Xiaomi developers have launched another crowdfunding project, offering an unusual miniature photo printer Mi Pocket Photo Printer at a price starting from $42. After the project is supported by users and launched, the price of the printer will increase to $50 from October 2
The minimum price gave rise to a minimalist design and elementary control (there are only three buttons) of a 3-inch photo printer. Heat-resistant plastic was used in the production of the case. Connection with mobile gadgets (smartphones and tablets) is realized via Bluetooth. The ZINK technology, famously used in Polaroid and associated with the use of special photo paper rather than print cartridges, is applied.
Interestingly enough, the printer allows you to get photos using the elements of augmented reality. All you need to do is to point the smartphone camera at the AR photograph, and it will come alive, showing the video from which the frame was taken.
