Sony rarely indulges its fans with new smartphone models. This time, it has developed an improved version of the flagship device and introduced the Xperia 1 Professional Edition. The device is intended for use by professionals, working in the field of editing videos and photos, as well as for e-sportsmen.
The 6.5-inch display supports the expanded color space ITU-R BT.2020 and uses the Imaging Edge Mobile and Transfer & Tagging add applications, which synchronize with Sony Alpha cameras for faster file sharing.
An important condition for gamers is the ability to connect to a wired network using USB Type-C, which will provide a stable connection that contributes to concentration on the gameplay. The ability to present the home screen in landscape orientation is an exclusive feature of the smartphone.
The technical specifications of the smartphone are similar to the standard device Xperia 1. Thus, the OLED display with a 6.5-inch diagonal came out with a resolution of 3840 × 1644 and an aspect ratio of 21 to 9. The hardware runs on a Snapdragon 855 chip. There are 6 GB of RAM. Autonomous operation will be provided by a 3330 mAh battery. A triple camera is installed: the main 12 MP (F 1.6), 9 MP telephoto (F 2.4) and ultra-wide angle 9 MP (F 2.4) camera. The front camera is 8 megapixels (F2.0).
The price of Xperia 1 Professional Edition will be $1,320.
