Another Blackmagic Design cinema camera has recently appeared. Pocket Cinema Camera 6K looks like last year’s 4K model. However, its sensor is much larger.
So, the Super 35 resolution is 6144 x 3456 pixels. Now it is possible to control the depth of field, as well as to improve the quality in poor light.
As the representatives of the manufacturer assure, it is possible to save more details in the darkest and lightest areas of the image. This was made possible due to the 13-speed dynamic range. The light sensitivity standard of Pocket Cinema 6K is ISO 400, with a maximum of 25600.
The new device is equipped with headphones, a microphone, HDMI, mini XLR and USB-C. The EF lens mount is compatible with many other manufacturers’ lenses, including Zeiss, Sigma and Canon. Pocket Cinema Camera 6K has a 5-inch touch screen, just like the 4K. The camera is capable of operating at 120 frames per second with a resolution of 2868 x 1512, 60 frames per second with a resolution of 6144 x 2560 and 50 frames per second with a resolution of 6144 x 3456. The product can already be purchased for $2495.
