Fujifilm launches the new X-T4 mirrorless flagship camera, which has received several hardware improvements in comparison with the previous models. The main highlight of the camera will be the use of an image stabilization system in the device, which allows up to 6.5 exposure steps to be compensated.
Fujifilm X-T4 camera has a BSI CMOS sensor with an APS-C format sensor and a resolution of 26 megapixels, improved auto focus, advanced mechanical shutter, and higher performance. The camera’s capabilities are demonstrated in serial shooting at the speed of 15 frames per second, when tracking an object via autofocus with a mechanical shutter and 20 frames per second with an electronic shutter.
The camera has an electronic OLED video viewer (3.68 million pixels) and a refresh rate of 100 Hz. Additionally, there is a rotary monitor with a resolution of 1.62 million pixels. There is no built-in flash, but a connector is provided for connecting an external flash and other accessories.
Two SD UHS-II memory cards were used as the data storage. Using the USB-C connector, USB Power Delivery technology is supported to charge the battery, which provides offline shooting of up to 500 images. The absence of a headphone jack is compensated by the presence of a USB-C-3.5 mm adapter included in the package, which allows you to control the sound when shooting.
Fujifilm X-T4 supports 12 film simulation modes, including Eterna Bleach Bypass. Video recording is possible in 4K resolution (DCI or UHD) with a frequency of up to 60 frames per second and a maximum bit rate of up to 400 Mbit/s or 10-bit F-Log mode. When recording in Full HD resolution, the frequency of 240 frames per second is available, providing Slow-Motion recording with the 4-10-fold slowdown.
The standard camera will go on sale in the upcoming months at the price of $1,699. When shipped with interchangeable 18-55mm F2.8-4.0 OIS lenses, the price rises to $2,099, and when produced together with a 16-80mm F4 OIS WR lens, it reaches $2,199.
