Acer presented an improved version of the ultra-thin Swift 5 Ultrabook at the IFA 2019 events. It is positioned as one of the lightest devices in its class.
A characteristic feature of the Ultrabook was a heavy metal casing, the thickness of which was 14.95 mm. The weight of Swift 5 will be 990 grams. The improved model has received a 14-inch Full HD monitor (1920×1080).
The hardware runs on the tenth generation Intel Core chip (Ice Lake). In its maximum configuration, the computer will be equipped with a Core i7-1065G7 processor (3.9 GHz). The graphics is processed by the NVIDIA GeForce MX250 processor. The main memory is an SSD drive up to 512 GB, and the LPDDR4X RAM is 16 GB.
Swift 5 autonomous functioning will be provided by a battery with the capacity of 56 Wh, which ensures operation without charging for 12.5 hours. A fingerprint scanner is provided, there is a USB Type-C connector with Thunderbolt 3 interface. Communication is via Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax).
The price of the ultra-light Swift 5 Ultrabook will be 900 euros.
