Moon is the world’s first levitating multi-purpose smart camera, capable of ensuring the safety of one’s home while the owners are away. Startup 1-Ring from Armenia is the developer of the novelty.
The stand of the gadget has been equipped with a special technology that allows the unit with a smart camera not only to hover but also to turn for 360° in any direction. The device has a wireless charge, so it can continue shooting without interruption. In case of power failure, the camera will continue to operate due to the built-in 5000 mAh battery, which is enough for 5 hours of battery life. The 5-megapixel camera sensor has a viewing angle of 130° and the f/2.0 aperture; the video is recorded in Full HD resolution at 30 frames per second. There is also a night shooting mode.
The footage is supposed to be stored in the internal memory or in the Google Drive, Dropbox, or OneDrive cloud services. The exact size of the built-in storage is not specified, but the developer indicates it will be enough for 12 hours of recording HD video. But this parameter can be expanded with microSD cards up to 128 GB, a corresponding slot being provided for this purpose.
According to the engineers of 1-Ring, their offspring is aimed to protect the dwelling. A special function, developed for the device, imitates the presence of hosts in the house. Moon can produce a number of sounds and occasionally turn on the light in different rooms if the switches have the appropriate smart function. This option, according to the plan, should frighten off intruders from breaking into someone else’s property. In addition, the gadget itself detects strange suspicious sounds. In case of their appearance, Moon turns to the needed side and starts video recording.
