Technological advancement is always a good thing, with gadgets and gizmos saving us time and adding enjoyment to our increasingly busy lives. Mobile technology has never been more competitive and consumers are bombarded with products and apps that claim to enhance our existence. However, there is so much more to discover than the next mobile ‘phone upgrade, and in the 21st century, consumers are fortunate enough to be privy to some of the greatest at home gadgets which will alleviate our work load and give down-time a whole new meaning. Lets take a look at my four favourite gadgets for today’s modern home.
Clever Clocks
If you find it difficult to get out of bed in the morning and require a little motivation, give the iQ alarm clock a go. You wont have the option of hitting snooze with this little beauty, as instead of waking you with just music or beeps, sleepyheads will have to get their minds into gear by answering questions and problems correctly to make the alarm stop. You can of course adjust the difficulty settings if you predict you may be a bit fragile in the morning, but what a great way to start the day!
Dreamy Televisions
Perhaps you prefer your gadgets a little less invigorating and want to relax as much as possible in your bedroom. If this is the case, you won’t get much better than this next item which manages to combine two of my favourite things: a television and a bed. I love TV Beds and Bedstar’s range are my personal favourites! Imagine sinking into a sumptuously soft bed and being able to retrieve your large-screen television at the touch of a button. This space-saving addition to your bedroom is the ultimate in affordable luxury and means your television is as close as it needs to be and can be safely stored away when not in use.
More Food, Less Faff
Do you love food, but hate cooking? Takeaways are not your only option. Sometimes the simplest of ideas are the best and the segregated pan is just that. For some people, the first time they encountered this ingenious idea was when Olympic swimmer, Tom Daley sent Twitter berserk with a snap of him cooking breakfast using his compartmentalised Masterpan. This invention solves all sorts of problems, including having to calculate cooking times by frying things separately, as well as the constant struggle to keep foods from colliding with each other in the pan. Simple, yet extremely effective.
Gardening Gadgets
If you dream of being green fingered but tend to be all thumbs, you may need a little help in the gardening department. Invest in an Husqvarna Automower and have the garden of your dreams by doing almost nothing at all. This nifty little gadget will swoop around your garden, tackling the most difficult of gradients leaving you to relax and marvel at its impressive display. However, like many time-saving gadgets, you will need to be prepared to spend quite a bit, and as this machine markets at over £1000, it is no exception.
